Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Normal University) is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education and a national first-class university built by the "985 Project" and "21/project".

Environmental science is an undergraduate major in colleges and universities, belonging to environmental science and engineering. This major trains professionals who master the basic knowledge of environmental natural science, environmental technology science and environmental humanities and social science, have the basic theory and skills of environmental science, and can work in environmental protection and related fields in government, enterprises and scientific research units and continue their studies.

Courses offered include mechanical drawing, environmental protection equipment design, electrician and experiment, instrument analysis, chemical principle, chemical principle experiment, chemical process design, computer application in chemical industry, foreign language, introduction to environmental science, environmental system engineering and optimization, environmental chemistry, air pollution control engineering, water pollution control engineering, introduction to environmental engineering, environmental monitoring, environmental monitoring experiment, etc.

After graduation, except for a few who entered the postgraduate level for further study, most of them entered environmental theory research institutions and production departments at all levels as research or consulting personnel.
