Hefei University of Technology was founded in 1945 and has changed its name several times. 1958 was officially named Hefei university of technology, and 1960 was approved by the central government as a national key university. After the merger and reorganization with Anhui Institute of Technology and Anhui Institute of Water Conservancy and Electric Power, it successively belonged to the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Mechanical and Electronic Industry and the Ministry of Education.
