In the past, many surveys have found some common phenomena, but this time our survey mainly studies the latest problems of college students about the Internet according to communication psychology's relevant principles, and puts forward relevant suggestions and opinions.

2 research methods

The survey was completed by distributing questionnaires in the dormitory. This survey adopts the combination of random sampling survey and face-to-face survey, qualitative research and quantitative research.

The questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire with *** 17 objective questions and 1 subjective questions.

The content of the survey is mainly about the purpose, content and reasons of college students surfing the Internet, as well as some views and opinions on the Internet.

Data processing and analysis adopt the original statistical methods and make statistics one by one.

2.2 theme

The object of this activity is college students in Hunan Institute of Science and Technology (East Campus). 50 questionnaires were distributed, and 48 valid questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of 96%. Among them, 62.5%(30 people) were male and 37.5%( 18 people) were female. Freshmen account for 25%, 50%, 12.5% and12.5% respectively; Students from rural areas and towns account for 37.5% and 62.5% respectively; They are all liberal arts students.

The survey adopts the principle of random sampling. The specific operations are as follows: firstly, the sample size is allocated from Hunan Institute of Science and Technology (East Campus), China Language and Literature Department, Journalism and Communication Department and Foreign Language and Literature Department according to the department size; Then the sample size is allocated according to a certain grade ratio and gender ratio.

The subjects of the investigation are 50 students selected from Hunan Institute of Science and Technology during the May 1st in 2005. Two of the samples were invalid because they didn't answer the questions completely.

3. 1 Internet frequency

In this survey, 25% of freshmen transfer, 50% of sophomores, and 65,438+02.5% of juniors and seniors respectively. Through face-to-face interviews, it is also found that the lower the grade, the earlier the time to get in touch with the Internet, and the higher the proportion. As far as the frequency of surfing the Internet is concerned, 69.9% of the students often touch the Internet, 100% seldom touch the Internet, and 0% never touch it. Among them, boys who frequently contact the Internet account for 8 1% of the total number of boys, and girls who frequently contact the Internet account for 47.5% of the total number of girls. It can be seen that boys who often contact the internet are obviously higher than girls.

The employment pressure is huge, the burden is relatively heavy, the energy is limited, and the time is relatively insufficient.

More than 87.5% students surf the Internet twice a week, and nearly 90% students surf the Internet for more than 40 minutes each time. It is reported that this is because the minimum charging time of most Internet cafes is 40 minutes, which is related to the low cost of Internet access. In the survey of "Have you ever lied in online chat", 20.4% people often lie to netizens, 15.9% people often lie, 6.8% people seldom lie, and 56.8% people never lie, which shows that college students can't fully trust online communication.

3.6 The relationship between surfing the Internet and learning

Up to 56.25% of the respondents in the survey think that surfing the Internet is not helpful to improve their academic performance. On the contrary, 25% transfer students skip classes because of surfing the Internet.

3.7 Network's Influence on College Students' Interpersonal Communication

A survey on "how to treat online dating" shows that most college students do not exclude making friends, many people think online dating is beneficial to interpersonal relationships, and very few students think online dating is not conducive to their own communication. It can be seen that college students have not yet formed a complete understanding of the network, and a considerable number of people who treat the illusory network world are not clear about its essence, and they contact with suspicion and temptation. Most college students don't use their real information when surfing the Internet.

According to the survey, only 4.3% people admit that they have had the experience of online dating, and most people hold an exclusive attitude towards online dating. 4 1.7% people think online dating is a waste of time, 3 1.2% people think online dating is romantic but unreliable, and the opponents are mostly middle-aged and old students. 20.8% people think that online dating is a normal way of love, and it should be natural. Only 6.2% people agree with this method, and most of them agree with middle and lower grade students.

The reason for this is mainly because senior students are mature and rational, and some of them have found lovers. In addition, they are busy with their studies and have no time to take into account the online temptation.
