Women's short-term university affiliated to Japan Sport University. Its physical education department and nursing department are both two-year programs. The former mainly teaches physical education, health care theory and sports technology, while the latter mainly teaches the theory and practice of nursing and early childhood education.

The library of Japan Sport University now has about 50,000 books and about 600 domestic and foreign magazines. The affiliated institution of the school is the Institute of Physical Education (established in May 1962), which is a comprehensive research institution and also serves for sports research. In addition, there are sports training centers and health management centers. Japan Sport University also has schools and facilities in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagano Prefecture and Hokkaido.
