Brief introduction of Zhang Tianyi
Zhang Tianyi (1906~ 1985) is a famous modern writer in China. Scientific name Ding, word Handi, No.1, pen names Zhang Tianjing and Tie Chihan. Born in Shuangquan Village, Dongshan Township, Xiangxiang County, Hunan Province, he finished primary school and junior high school in Hangzhou, arrived in Beijing in the autumn of 1925, and was admitted to Peking University the following year. /kloc-0 began his professional writing career in/929, and joined the left-wing writers' union in 193 1. Since the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he has been engaged in anti-Japanese and national salvation and literary activities in Changsha and other places. After liberation, he served as deputy director of the Central Literature Workshop, member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association and editor-in-chief of People's Literature. Representative works include fairy tales "Dalin and Kobayashi", "The Secret of Treasure Gourd", "The Bald King" and novels "Mr. Warwick" and "Diary of a Ghost Land". His fairy tales occupy an important position in the history of children's literature.
