The LLM major of Yantai University is affiliated to Yantai University Law School. Law School of Yantai University was founded in 1984. Its predecessor was the Law Department of Yantai University directly aided by the Law Department of Peking University, with Yang Diansheng, a professor of criminal law, as its first director. Guo Mingrui, a professor of civil law, is the second director; Wang Jian, a professor of criminal procedure law, became the third director.
1999 was changed from department to college, with Fang, a professor of civil law, as the first dean, Jin Fuhai, a professor of economic law, as the second dean, and Zhang Pinghua, a professor of civil law, as the fourth dean.
