Introduction to Jiangxi University of Science and Technology Jiangxi University of Science and Technology was founded in 1958, formerly known as Jiangxi Metallurgical Institute. 1988 was renamed as Southern Metallurgical Institute, and it was renamed as Jiangxi University of Science and Technology in 2004.
