Qingdao University of Technology, located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, is a key university in Shandong Province, a high-level university with "strong characteristics" in Shandong Province, and a well-known school for training applied basic talents in Shandong Province. The predecessor of the school is Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone Independent Vocational High School, which was founded in September 1992. It has been renamed as private Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone Vocational Secondary School, private Qingdao Far East Vocational and Technical College, private Qingdao Far East Vocational and Technical College and private Qingdao Binhai Vocational College. Qingdao Binhai College was established in March 2005.
