Brief introduction of Sichuan University Department of Architecture and Environment
The Department of Civil Engineering of Sichuan University was first established in 1945. After more than 20 years of separation and integration, the Department of Civil Engineering was re-established on 1986 and began to recruit undergraduates majoring in industrial and civil architecture. 1987 added urban construction specialty, and water supply and drainage specialty was added in the early 1990s. 1993 separated from the water conservancy department and entered the urban environment college. Then, according to the scientific adjustment of undergraduate majors by the Ministry of Education, the above three majors were merged into the Department of Civil Engineering.

The Department of Civil Engineering consists of structural engineering teaching and research section, water supply and drainage teaching and research section, construction engineering management teaching and research section, structural engineering laboratory and municipal engineering laboratory. There are 29 in-service teachers, including 1 person, member of the teaching steering committee of civil engineering management major of the Ministry of Education, 2 subject leaders in Sichuan Province, 2 reserve candidates for provincial subject leaders, 4 professors, associate professors or senior engineers 1 1 person, accounting for 48.3% of the total number, and 3 national first-class registered structural engineers and supervision engineers. Teachers are mainly young and middle-aged, and teachers under 45 account for 62% of the total number.

The Department of Civil Engineering has a Ph.D. and a master's degree in civil engineering, and also enrolls a master's degree in architectural and civil engineering (including structural engineering, water supply and drainage engineering and construction engineering management). The Department of Civil Engineering has three undergraduate majors: civil engineering, water supply and drainage engineering and engineering cost. Civil engineering has three major directions: construction engineering, road and bridge engineering and project management. At present, there are more than 0/000 undergraduates/kloc. Thousands of graduates are distributed in the design, construction, management, real estate development departments, supervision companies, consulting companies, China Construction Bank and corresponding teaching and research institutes in the civil engineering and municipal engineering industries, and the employment situation has been very good. In terms of international cooperation in running schools, the Department of Civil Engineering is at the forefront of the whole school. At present, two groups of students have been sent to Germany to train "2+2" undergraduate talents with Klustal University of Technology in Germany, which has truly realized the cooperative training with world famous universities. In addition, in order to meet the needs of society, the Department of Civil Engineering also has different levels of adult education and network education, including adult undergraduate, adult undergraduate and adult junior college, as well as civil engineering management network undergraduate, junior college and junior college. The effect of running a school is good, which has been widely recognized by the society.
