There are two universities in Zhangjiajie, namely Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University and Zhangjiajie Aviation Industry Vocational and Technical College, among which Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University is an independent college organized by Jishou University, a comprehensive university in Hunan Province.

By improving the quality, the college strengthens the school, highlights the famous schools with characteristics, and trains applied senior professionals with "generous general literacy, solid professional foundation and skilled professional skills" for local economic and social development, and has achieved remarkable results in running schools.
