It is a national "double-first-class" construction university. In 2022, it was selected as 21/engineering, one province and one school, and 800 yuan of Yunnan University Software College. Yunnan University was founded in 1922, when it was a private Donglu University. 1934 was renamed as the provincial Yunnan university, and 20 17 became one of the first 42 "world-class universities" in China.
