At present, there are three undergraduate majors in animal science, animal medicine and aquaculture, and 20 1 1 plans to add an undergraduate major in animal pharmacy. The college has five master's degree-granting disciplines: animal nutrition and feed, animal genetics and breeding, basic veterinary, clinical veterinary and preventive veterinary, among which animal nutrition and feed science is a provincial key discipline. The college also has 26 off-campus teaching and research bases such as Animal Embryo Engineering Research Institute, Shenyang Embryo Engineering Technical Service Center, Feed Research Center, Pig Research Institute, Research Pig Farm, Chicken Farm and Veterinary Hospital, and Liaoning Veterinary Station. The College also offers postgraduate courses in aquaculture agricultural extension, animal nutrition, veterinary medicine and self-study examination for animal husbandry and veterinary medicine (independent undergraduate course).
