Modern College of Northwest University, founded in 2004, is an engineering private university under the jurisdiction of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. The school address is located at No.0/09, Xingfu South Road, Xincheng District, Xi City. The College has successively won 23 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the 4th China Technology Market Association Collective Award, and 23 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, with a total fund of 1 1.8 million yuan and other major awards.

Northwest University, referred to as "Xida University", was founded in 1902. It was established by Zhu Pi, Emperor Guangxu in the late Qing Dynasty. Located in Xi 'an, the ancient capital, it is a comprehensive national key university under the key construction of the Ministry of Education and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. It ranks among the national "21/project" and the first batch of national "double-class". It has been selected into "11plan", "National Innovative Experiment Plan for College Students" and "National Project of Building High-level Universities for Postgraduates". It is an engineering university for the basic capacity building of universities in the central and western regions, and a Sino-Japanese university humanities exchange alliance. It is one of the key construction institutions in the national "one province, one school" plan and one of the "Chang 'an Alliance" universities. It is the first batch of universities in China with the right to confer doctoral and master's degrees.
