Accommodation condition
The layout of the dormitory is usually one room for four people, and there is enough space in the aisle to get a table under the bed. The dormitory in Minhang is relatively new. (Newly renovated) Minhang and Zhongshan North Road campuses don't have private baths and toilets. You can go to public places in the corridor if you need to wash or go to the toilet (the conditions in each building are different, depending on which one you live in, here are photos of my classmates' own dormitory).
Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning, which can be adjusted by itself, and the charging fee can be paid by itself. Take a shower and go to the public bathroom downstairs. The water fee is relatively cheap. Don't worry, you won't have any money after taking a bath.
There are also many green plants outside the dormitory building, and the apartment area for undergraduates is still very large. If your dormitory is close to the teaching area and canteen, it may be far from the school gate. The outermost dormitory is convenient by car, but it is far from the canteen and so on. Each dormitory has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Canteen restaurant

There are many gymnasiums in East China Normal University, with complete facilities and safe operation at night. The school also has its own swimming pool with new hardware facilities and a good environment. The indoor swimming pool is very suitable for students and cheap.

Generally speaking, the school environment is good. China Normal University has two main campuses: Zhongshan North Road and Minhang. I have been to both campuses.
Zhongshan North Road Campus is in the city center, there are many places for entertainment and eating next to it, and the vegetation in the campus is also good.
Minhang is relatively remote. I remember the last time I went from Hongkou, it was almost two hours. Minhang Campus has a strong academic atmosphere, next to another 985 Jiaotong University, which is separated by only one road. Of course, there is not much food nearby. I was quite moved when I went last time.
Military training
The military training in China Normal University is usually carried out at the end of the summer vacation of freshmen, and you will be sent back to school to prepare in advance. Military training usually lasts two weeks. At that time, my classmate's military training was during the epidemic, and he was also divided into online week and offline week.
The military training in China Normal University is not strict, and there are many recreational activities. If the sun is poisonous, it will drag you to a cool place for training, and you will have enough rest time, so don't worry too much.
