Humboldt University in Berlin (German: Humboldt University? HU Berlin is the oldest university in Berlin, Germany. It was founded by william von humboldt, a Prussian educational reformer and linguist, and his younger brother alexander von humboldt in 1809. This is the first newly-built university. The school-running purpose of integrating teaching and scientific research and carrying out humanistic education in an all-round way was determined. Humboldt University has always attached great importance to international academic exchanges and cooperation. 1959 joined the International Association of Universities and immediately established inter-school relations with Moscow University of the Soviet Union.
