King Saud University is the first university in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1957, it was originally named Riyadh University, and later renamed King Saudi University in 1982. King Saud University is a non-profit public higher education institution, located in the urban area of Riyadh.
There are 24 colleges in this university, which emphasize the generation of knowledge, the understanding of the natural and social world, and meet the needs of the Saudi government, the private sector and the whole society. Today, the student group of King Saudi University includes 40,000 male and female students, 7% of whom are international students. The university has a selective admission policy based on the entrance examination, and the admission rate is between 70-80%.
