At present, the Department of Psychology has two undergraduate majors, namely, basic psychology and applied psychology, and four teaching and research sections, namely, cognitive neuroscience, industrial and economic psychology, developmental and educational psychology and clinical psychology, forming a relatively neat discipline system. The Cognitive Neuroscience Department mainly studies the cognitive and neural mechanisms of advanced brain functions such as perception, attention, memory, language, thinking, consciousness and social cognition. There are cognitive psychology laboratory, experimental psychology teaching laboratory, brain imaging laboratory, neuroeconomics laboratory, physiological psychology teaching laboratory, visual perception research laboratory and primate electrophysiology laboratory.
Department of Industrial and Economic Psychology
The research directions of this teaching and research section mainly include: organizational management psychology, personnel evaluation and selection, performance evaluation, career planning, leadership development, group decision-making, risk cognition, culture and cognition, consumer behavior, advertising psychology, investment psychology/behavioral finance, etc.
Teaching and research section of development and educational psychology
The research directions include: the acquisition and development of children's early language, the normal and abnormal development of children's reading, the normal and abnormal development of children's sociality, the development of children's executive control ability and theory of mind, the formation mechanism of children's problem behavior and the prevention and intervention measures.
Clinical psychology teaching and research department
Research interests include personality characteristics, shame and social anxiety, stress and stress management, and cognitive function of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder in China. Set up systematic clinical psychology teaching courses, including abnormal psychology, psychological measurement, introduction to psychological consultation and psychotherapy, interview and diagnosis, special topics of clinical psychology, personality and social psychology, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive therapy, family therapy, ethical norms, etc. And there are psychiatric probation, psychotherapy practice and systematic supervision training.
