Qibao campus

The campus is located in Qibao Town, covering an area of 328 mu. This used to be the campus of Shanghai Agricultural College. 1999 Agricultural College was merged into Shanghai Jiaotong University, and the campus became Qibao Campus of Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Shanghai Jiaotong University is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in China, and it is the first batch of national key construction in the Seventh Five-Year Plan, the Eighth Five-Year Plan, the 21Project and the 985 Project. Since its establishment, the school has adhered to the tenet of "seeking truth from facts, seeking truth from facts and being pragmatic", taking the cultivation of "first-class talents" as its educational goal, and has been diligent and enterprising. In the 1920s and 1930s, it became a famous institution of higher learning in China, known as "Oriental Massachusetts Institute of Technology".

During the Anti-Japanese War, teachers and students went through a lot of difficulties, moved to the concession, moved to Chongqing, and persisted in running schools. Many students joined the army and fought bloody battles.

On the eve of liberation, teachers and students actively participated in the democratic revolution, and the school was known as the "democratic fortress". After 1 15 years of unremitting efforts, Shanghai Jiaotong University has become a "comprehensive, research-oriented and international" domestic first-class and internationally renowned university, and is steadily moving towards a world-class university.
