Work-study program refers to a personal study plan to do some work within one's ability after study to subsidize life or increase work experience. Is to combine learning in class with learning at work. Students apply their theoretical knowledge to related work practices that work for real employers and usually get paid, and then bring the challenges and increased knowledge back to the classroom to help them further analyze and think in their studies.
Work-study program refers to taking part in labor after school. Generally, poor college students use their spare time to make a living. Some people don't want to get paid, but want more social practical experience.
In recent years, due to the unbalanced economic development in various parts of the country, the charging standard has been greatly improved after the implementation of the merger system in colleges and universities, and the proportion of poor students in colleges and universities has increased greatly. In order to realize the promise that "as long as you get enough marks in the exam, you will never drop out of school", the school has done a lot of work from scholarships, student loans, social grants, tuition and miscellaneous fees reduction, financial assistance to poor students, and work-study programs, among which the most extensive way is work-study programs.
There are four main ways for college students to work and study:
(1) By organizing school associations, we negotiated with merchants to participate in work-study programs, accounting for about 26% of the total number of work-study programs. In public places such as student dormitories and school buildings, there are often posters posted by student associations to introduce people to participate in work-study programs.
(2) Obtaining the qualification of "tutor" with the help of the tutor center, accounting for about 2 1% of the number of work-study programs.
(3) Get a job through the arrangement of the school work-study center. Work-study centers in colleges and universities are institutions that uniformly organize, manage and coordinate the work-study activities of college students. Arrange a certain number of poor college students to participate in work-study programs and complete their studies every year. However, due to the limited conditions, the number of arrangements is generally limited, and the work-study program services provided by many colleges and universities are still in the initial stage.
(4) Direct contact with the employer through job advertisements or introductions by others, and become a "part-time job". With the increase of college students' work-study programs, some people have seen business opportunities, and various intermediaries for college students have emerged. Many individual owners or small businesses are willing to hire ingenious college students, and job advertisements can be seen everywhere on campus.
