Brief introduction of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine:
Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is located in Beijing. It is a national key university with Chinese medicine characteristics directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. It is a national "double-class" university.
National "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Superiority Discipline Innovation Platform" build universities, pilot universities for the reform of excellent doctor (Chinese medicine) education and training plan, founding members of the world-class Chinese medicine university construction alliance and Beijing excellent medical talents training university alliance.
It has been selected into the national "11/plan", the national public graduate program for building high-level universities, the national innovation experiment program for college students, the national innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students, the national demonstration universities for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, and the China government scholarship institutions for international students.
Founded in 1956 and formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, the school is the earliest approved institution of higher learning of Chinese medicine in the State Council. 65438-0960, the school was designated as a national key university by the central government.
197 1, the school merged with Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 1977, separation of the two houses, resumption of independent school running; 1993, the school was renamed Beijing University of Chinese Medicine; /kloc-0 was selected as the "2 1 1 project" national key construction university in 1996; In 2000, the school merged with Beijing Institute of Acupuncture and Orthopaedics to form a new Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
By March 2023, the school has three campuses, namely Heping Street, Wangjing and Liangxiang, covering an area of 6.5438+0.083 million square meters. There are 13 teaching units and 16 undergraduate majors.
