The survey results show that college students generally support and agree with the activities of Scientific Outlook on Development, people-oriented, building a conservation-oriented society and building a conservation-oriented campus proposed by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee. The survey results also show that reasonable consumption and economy are the mainstream of college students, and most college students have excellent qualities of reasonable consumption, pragmatism and economy. Among them, 80% of college students' consumption habit is "live within our means, save as much as possible". For public property, 86.52% students "consider saving". Judging from the overall consumption level, the overall consumption level of college students is low, and some students are too frugal. 80% students spend a total of 200-400 yuan per month, and 8% students spend less than 100 yuan per month, mostly for food and daily necessities. Compared with some media surveys, the average monthly consumption of college students in Beijing, Wuhan and other cities is 400-600 yuan, which shows that the living conditions of poor college students need more attention.
Through investigation, it is found that there is still a waste of food and clothing among college students, and some college students have outstanding problems in leisure, communication and emotional consumption. Among them, 7 1.28% college students have food waste to varying degrees. Individual high-spending classmates will have a great psychological impact on other students, and the negative impact is very great. Bad consumption behaviors such as blind consumption, comparison consumption, fashion consumption, kitsch consumption, "face-saving" consumption, and advanced consumption are easy to spread among college students.
Associate Professor Tang, who participated in the survey, suggested vigorously advocating the virtue of thrift, optimizing the campus atmosphere and making thrift a "fashion"; Strengthen the ideological and moral education of college students and cultivate their sense of responsibility in building a conservation-oriented society; Strengthen college students' consumption education and establish the concepts of green consumption, civilized consumption and saving consumption. At the same time, schools should improve the level of science and technology and strengthen scientific management.
