The college has three undergraduate majors: English, Japanese and German. In "20 14-20 15 China Undergraduate Education University Competitiveness Ranking", English major was rated as a "five-star" major and Japanese major as a four-star major.

The college has the right to award master's degrees in foreign languages and literature, and four two disciplines master's degrees in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, English language and literature, Japanese language and literature, and curriculum and teaching theory;

Have the right to award master's degrees in translation and Chinese international education;

The United Computer College has established doctoral programs in two disciplines: language, cognition and intelligent computing. Foreign linguistics and applied linguistics are the first batch of key construction disciplines in Chongqing and the key disciplines in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, while foreign languages and literature are the key disciplines in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan of Chongqing universities.

The research base of language cognition and language application, established on the basis of college-level disciplines, consists of seven research institutes, two laboratories and the editorial department of Foreign Language and Literature Research. In 2006, it was approved as the key research base of humanities and social sciences in Chongqing.
