Qian Weichang 19 12 10 was born in Qifangqiao Village, Hongsheng Township, Wuxi County, Jiangsu Province. At the beginning of the 20th century, China was in the process of overthrowing the imperial system, establishing * * * harmony, spreading western learning to the east, and declining Chinese studies. Qian Weichang was born in a poor family of poets and calligraphers, who had a good knowledge of Chinese studies and started a new study. In Wuxi, a land of fish and rice adjacent to Taihu Lake, the Yizhuang system continues for the sake of family prosperity. Due to the early death of Mr. Xue's grandfather, Qian Weichang's father Qian () and uncle Qian Binsi (Qian Mu) received grain and rice from Qian's Yizhuang and studied hard. They set up their first new primary school in Qifangqiao, their hometown, and taught in other primary schools. Qian Weichang, a teenager, sometimes lives in the teacher's dormitory of her father and uncle. /kloc-when he was 0/6 years old, his father Qian Sheng died of illness, and he studied in Suzhou with his uncle. Later, Uncle Qian Mu went to Peking University, and Hu Shi also served as a professor of general history in China, becoming a famous master of Chinese studies. In 1960s, he served as a senior minister in Taiwan Province Province and continued to study Chinese studies. His mother, Wang Xiuzhen, is kind and hardworking. In addition to housework, she also raises silkworms, peaches and paste matchboxes to supplement her family. His poor childhood and his mother's virtuous personality helped him create an independent and supportive spiritual force in his tortuous life. His wife, Kong, graduated from the China Literature Department of the National Tsinghua University College of Literature. For 50 years, she has been his faithful companion in life and spirit, and also the guarantee of his career success.
Qian Weichang is an internationally renowned scientist and an academician of China Academy of Sciences. Yan Weichang liked liberal arts very much in middle school, but he was afraid of science, especially math and physics. Interestingly, he mainly engaged in the research and teaching of mechanics and applied mathematics all his life, and made many pioneering contributions in these academic fields. He applied tensor analysis and differential geometry to the study of elastic plates and shells for the first time, established a unified theory of thin plates and shells, and put forward a set of nonlinear differential equations of linear shell theory, which is called "Qian Weichang equation" internationally. He also successfully used the system perturbation method to deal with nonlinear equations for the first time, which is still used to deal with this kind of problems internationally.
