The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Taiyuan University of Technology consists of chemical engineering department, biological and pharmaceutical engineering department, process equipment and control engineering department, applied chemistry department and basic chemistry department. The Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, formerly known as the Department of Chemical Engineering of engineering college of shanxi university, was founded in 1949.
