Youku is a video platform founded by Gu Yongqiang on June 2 1 2006, and officially launched on February 2 1 2006. Youku is now one of the core businesses of Alibaba Group's digital media and entertainment business, and also a part of Alibaba Group's "double H" strategy.
Youku now supports three major terminals: PC, TV and mobile, and has a variety of content forms such as copyright, co-production, self-made, user-generated content (UGC), professional-generated content (PGC) and live broadcast. Youku's daily average paying users grew healthily, with a year-on-year increase of over 50% as of March 3, 2020.
In 20 19, Youku released explosive dramas such as The Longest Day in the second season of Chang 'an "This is Street Dance". Among them, "The Longest Day in Chang 'an" was launched on Viki, Amazon and YouTube in the form of "paid content" in North America, and domestic dramas entered the monthly payment area for the first time.
