Are there many people with tablets and computers in the university?
I am a junior at Sun Yat-sen University now. Last semester, 30%-40% of students in our grade used iPad or Huawei tablet. Now, nearly 70% of students use tablets in online classes. During school, our department is not allowed to bring computers and mobile phones.

In fact, whether it is because of the epidemic or not, the demand of college students for computers or tablets is growing.

First of all, the intellectualization of teaching has promoted all this. Most university teachers teach in PPT or PDF. Because this can not only save students the cost of purchasing teaching materials, but also improve teaching efficiency. Teachers talk about electronic materials in class and share PPT or PDF directly with students after class. Therefore, students basically need electronic equipment to cooperate with their own study. Printing is also a method, but it is time-consuming and laborious, not to mention the long queue in the printing shop, that is, hundreds of pages of PDF, which is hard to carry every day when printed. The screen of the mobile phone is too small, so it is uncomfortable to look down, and it is not complete to zoom in. That's why I thought of buying a computer or a tablet.

Moreover, many colleges require the use of computers to coordinate their courses, such as many science and engineering colleges. Therefore, computers are almost indispensable, and tablets can't replace computers. After all, to put it bluntly, the tablet is just a mobile phone with a bigger screen. Even if the experience is optimized, it still cannot replace the computer. Take Excel for example. Even with a keyboard, the efficiency of the iPad is still far behind that of the window system.

Then tell me which students recommend using a tablet and which recommend using a computer.

Many liberal arts students often write papers and take notes in class, mostly in Chinese characters or foreign languages, almost in pure words. Recommend a computer. After all, keyboard typing speed is much faster than handwriting, and a thin notebook is enough to solve all learning needs. If you want to play games, just say so.

However, many science students' notes contain a lot of formula symbols and even need to draw pictures. At this time, handwriting is definitely the first choice. If the paper notebook is too heavy, you can consider adding a tablet to make it easier to take notes and review, and you can also write it directly on the PDF to make it clearer.

In addition, there are many postgraduate entrance examinations, so you need to watch many online classes, take notes and brush questions at the same time, and recommend a tablet. Now the split-screen function of the tablet allows you to take notes while watching online classes, and the two apps are synchronized.

The above is just my personal opinion, and I will make a choice according to my personal needs. I am a science student myself, and I have a computer and an iPadmini2. Don't ask me why I used mini2, I asked about poverty.
