Polimoda is located in Florence, Italy, an international capital of fashion, creative design and luxury management education, and a world famous historical and cultural city. It is a non-profit educational institution invested by the Florence municipal government and enjoys EU funding. The college is located in the headquarters of international first-line luxury brands, which gives students the opportunity to keep in touch with top international brands. About 60% of POLIMODA students come from Italy, and 40% from Europe, America and Asia. At the same time, about 180 exchange students from new york Institute of Fashion Technology (FIT) complete two semesters of professional study in Polimoda every year.
As a highly respected professional college in the international fashion and luxury goods industry, POLIMODA has been keeping close contact with the industry. In March, 2006, Dr. Ferruccio Ferragamo, CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo, the world's top luxury brand, became the president of POLIMODA Fashion Institute. In May of the same year, Dr Santo Versace, the chairman of Gianni Versace, the world's top luxury brand, became the chairman of POLIMODA SRL Fashion Management College Group, which was jointly established by the college and 34 international top fashion luxury brand companies including Gucci and Tod's.
Ferragamo and Versace, two international luxury giants, quickly adjusted the internationalization development strategy of the college and the group after taking charge of POLIMODA. In September 2006, they appointed Ms. Linda Lopa, the former dean of the Fashion Institute of the Royal College of Art in Antwerp, Belgium, the behind-the-scenes tutor of the "Six Gentlemen of Antwerp" and the most influential figure in European fashion, as the dean of the Fashion Institute in Polimoda. At the same time, the College has made a strategic plan to develop the education, training and consulting market of fashion luxury goods in China. In 2006, we reached a strategic partnership with Italian Fashion Management Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and appointed Italian Fashion as the first official representative office of the Institute in Greater China. While providing authoritative information for China students and industry professionals through Italian fashion, POLIMODA has jointly set up "Peking University Italian Fashion POLIMODA Bazaar Luxury Management Advanced Training Program" and "Sun Yat-sen University Italian Fashion POLIMODA Luxury Industry Investment Management Advanced Certificate Course", which has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign media, industries and the public.
The high combination of POLIMODA and the international fashion luxury industry has created incomparable employment advantages and opportunities for POLIMODA graduates. More than 90% of POLIMODA graduates can find professional jobs in a short time, and more than 90% have entered giorgio armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Gucci, Tod's, Prada, Valentino, Dzheniya and Dolce &;; Gabbana, Bvlgari, Max Mara, Chusadi, Krizia, Kenzo and other important fashion and luxury brand companies.
