Xiamen University Malaysia, referred to as Xiamen University Malaysia School for short, is an important part of Xiamen University, which is wholly owned by Xiamen University, and has become the first overseas directly affiliated campus in China.
Xiamen University Malaysian Branch is a national key university approved by the people of China and the Ministry of Education. Like the headquarters of Xiamen University, this branch school belongs to the "World-class University Construction University" (Class A) and the national "21Project" and "985 Project" key construction universities. China students in this branch are admitted by Xiamen University, and enrollment is not listed separately according to the school code; Graduates are awarded corresponding graduation certificates and degree certificates by Xiamen University, and the certificates are completely consistent with the headquarters of Xiamen University.
Xiamen University Malaysia Branch was established under the cordial care of the CPC Central Committee, covering an area of 900 mu with a total construction area of about 470,000 square meters, which can accommodate 1 10,000 students. Zhang Rong, president of Xiamen University, said that this is the most beautiful campus in Malaysia and the one with the highest construction standards in Malaysia.
Overseas branches include the Lotus Lake with the same name as the headquarters of Xiamen University, the same Chen Jiageng sculpture, the singing stone of Xiamen University, the water concert hall, the Olympic standard swimming pool and the fully equipped gymnasium. There are more than 6,000 students, including about 2,200 students from China.
