Our generation of college students live in a new era, with strong sense of independence and individuality, easy to accept new things and easily influenced by the external environment. Nowadays, many bad social atmosphere has impacted the campus, which makes some students have an egoistic tendency, and the phenomenon of college students' moral deficiency is widespread. We can't deny that the university campus is a "pure land", but among college students, some uncivilized, immoral and even illegal phenomena exist to varying degrees, such as buying food, plagiarizing by bus and not giving up your seat. Many things are trivial at first, but if they are not paid attention to, restrained and corrected in time, they will easily become "problems" and may follow bad behavior habits when they enter the society in the future. People often say that contemporary college students are "social pride", but why are there so many problems of moral cultivation in the moral status of this "social pride" group that cannot be ignored?
Morality is a kind of social ideology, and it is the norm and criterion of people's life and behavior. Morality often represents the positive value orientation of society and plays a role in judging whether behavior is justified or not. Morality can also refer to custom. Morality is determined by the economic foundation of a certain society and serves a certain social and economic foundation. Different times often have different moral concepts. In different cultures, moral elements and standards are often different.
Morality is a good teacher who guides us to pursue the best. It teaches us to know ourselves, our responsibilities and obligations to family, others, society and country, and teaches people to correctly understand the laws and principles of social moral life, so as to correctly choose their own behavior and life path.
Morality is the regulator of social contradictions. People who live in society always have one kind of relationship with others. Therefore, all kinds of contradictions will inevitably arise, which requires us to adjust people's behavior in society through special forms such as public opinion, customs and inner beliefs, and guide and correct people's behavior with our own standards of good and evil, so as to make the relationship between people and society perfect and harmonious.
Morality is a positive guide for people. It cultivates people's good moral consciousness, quality and behavior, sets up correct concepts such as obligation, honor, justice and happiness, and makes the educated become people with pure morality and noble ideals. Morality is also a just judge. Moral evaluation is a huge social force and people's internal will power. Morality is a way for people to grasp the reality through evaluation, and it is realized by judging the "good" and "evil" of the surrounding social phenomena.
Since morality is so important, how can we college students strengthen their moral level? I think this requires us to work together with the society to do the following:
(1) Strengthen self-cultivation, cultivate noble personality, integrate morality into one's living habits, adhere to the concept of honor and disgrace such as "eight honors and eight disgraces", cultivate self-discipline, and consciously learn from model workers and excellent moral concepts from them. Self-cultivation occupies an important position in China traditional culture and is an extremely important traditional virtue. In modern society, self-cultivation is still of great significance for cultivating college students' spirit of self-improvement, enhancing their psychological endurance and improving their ideological and moral realm. Contemporary college students should pursue noble personality and constantly climb the high realm of life. Although we have made some progress in thought, morality and psychology during our college years, on the whole, our social life experience is not rich enough, our thoughts are not mature enough, and there is still a clear disconnect between knowing and doing. For example, on the issue of becoming a talent, on the one hand, there is a strong desire to become a talent, on the other hand, there is a lack of determination and perseverance to work hard, climb the peak of science and technology, and endure poverty and loneliness. This requires us to keep learning, strengthen ideological and moral cultivation and improve ourselves.
(2) From the living environment of our college students, living on campus for a long time, lacking social practice, can't really experience all aspects of social reality. Therefore, it is prone to problems such as thinking methods divorced from reality and abstract values, and even lack of ideological preparation and practical ability to deal with social problems. Therefore, we should start with educators and try to cultivate and train their practical ability and social adaptability through various effective ways. Teachers should have rich and comprehensive professional knowledge and noble moral level. In this way, students can not only learn knowledge from teachers, but also learn things outside textbooks, which can also be the "social experience" we learned before entering society. We are in the historical condition of developing socialist market economy and opening to the outside world. Decadent ideas such as money worship and individualism and various social evils have brought many negative effects on our healthy growth. Especially in today's wide coverage of network information, some wrong ideas spread rapidly on the network, which has a great influence on us, but we should have a clear understanding.
At this time, the society should not only manage the social environment and provide a good social environment for the healthy growth of college students, but also strengthen the ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and educate college students on Socialism with Chinese characteristics Theory, patriotism, the excellent moral tradition of the Chinese nation and the spirit of hard work and entrepreneurship. I believe this should be an effective measure. (3) On the one hand, we are in contact with social reality, on the other hand, we are in contact with our own ideological reality. Learning by comparison and discrimination, we college students should learn to use the theories taught in class to analyze and understand the complicated political, economic, cultural and moral phenomena in real social life, to compare and evaluate various social thoughts and values, and to choose and establish Socialism with Chinese characteristics's scientific world outlook, outlook on life and values through analysis and comparison.
Pay attention to the unity of knowing and doing, and learn from practice. Nothing is not real knowledge. Insist on starting from yourself, starting from now, learning and practicing, further deepen the understanding and understanding of "knowledge" in practice, and truly achieve the unity of knowledge and practice, so as to continuously improve the ideological and moral realm and achieve the goal of self-improvement.
