Age requirements for college students to join the army
According to the provisions of the Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the principle of voluntariness, college graduates are no more than 22 years old and undergraduate graduates are no more than 23 years old. Those who join the army during their college years will retain their student status. In addition, male citizens aged 18 can join the army.

Specific requirements:

Male students: junior college, undergraduate, aged 17 to 22 years old; College degree or above, aged 17 to 23 years old; Undergraduate graduates, graduate students and students, aged 17 to 24 years old.

Female students: fresh graduates of ordinary high schools (including those who entered colleges and universities that year), age17-19; Ordinary full-time college students and fresh graduates, aged 17 to 22 years old.

Registration process:

(1) Online Registration Pre-registration: College graduates who intend to join the army can log on to the online registration platform for college students to join the army in summer and autumn, fill in and print the Registration Form for Pre-registered Graduates and the Application Form for National Student Loan Compensation for College Graduates' Enrollment Tuition (hereinafter referred to as the Registration Form and the Application Form), and submit them to the recruitment management department of their colleges and universities.

(2) Preliminary examination and preliminary examination: Graduates will take part in college physical examination and political examination before leaving school, and those who meet the requirements will be determined to be pre-levied. Colleges and universities assist the military service organs to send the registration form and application form to the graduates themselves after examination and seal, and complete the online information confirmation. Complete the preliminary examination and preliminary examination by July 15 at the latest.

(3) On-the-spot enlistment: College graduates can enlist in the place where the school is located, or they can enlist in the place where they registered before entering school.

(4) Organize fresh college graduates to go to the location of the school for recruitment, physical examination and political examination, and complete the scheduled soldiers before the graduates leave school. In early September, the recruitment office of the people's government of the county (city, district) where the school is located shall go through the examination and approval procedures for enlistment. The political examination is mainly based on my actual performance, and the public security department of the county (city, district) where the school is located is responsible, and the competent department of the school undertakes it specifically. In principle, it is no longer necessary to examine the actual performance before entering school and during returning to China.

(five) in the pre-school residence to join the army, college graduates in July 30 before the household registration moved back to the pre-school residence, with the registration form and application form to the local county-level military service organs to participate in the field enlistment. Those who passed the physical examination and political examination were approved by the conscription office of the local county (city, district) people's government in early September.
