What is the world ranking of Malay University?
The University of Malay ranks 65th in the world. Official website, a Malaysian public comprehensive research university, shows that the University of Malaya ranks 9th among Asian universities in 2023QS and 65th among world universities in 2024QS. The University of Malaya, formerly King Edward VII Medical College, was founded in 1905, Raffles College was founded in 1929, and 1949+00 8 merged to form the University of Malaya. 1956 has set up two branches in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur respectively. 1960, the Malaysian federal government said that the two campuses will be separated and become two national universities that are not affiliated with each other. The campus in Kuala Lumpur retained Martha's name, while the campus in Singapore was renamed the University of Singapore. 1965, after Singapore became independent from Malaysia, the University of Singapore was renamed the National University of Singapore. 1973, the Department of Agriculture of the University of Malaya and Malaya Agricultural College merged to form Botra University in Malaysia.
