Wuhai Vocational and Technical College was founded in 2004. It is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college is a garden-style institution of higher learning combined with municipal construction, with no walls and full openness. There are 49 higher vocational majors in eight categories. Jointly run schools with Wuhai Vocational and Technical School, Inner Mongolia Electric Power Communication Vocational and Technical School, Baotou Service Management Vocational School and Zhalaiteqi Vocational Middle School, and set up11"3+2" to connect secondary and higher vocational majors. The college adheres to the principle of combining introduction and training, and builds a team of teachers with excellent quality, optimized structure and a combination of full-time and part-time jobs. At present, there are 280 teaching and administrative staff, including 102 with associate senior title or above, 164 with postgraduate degree or above, 2 outstanding experts and young and middle-aged experts from autonomous regions, 2 "grassland talents" from autonomous regions, 5 famous teachers from universities in autonomous regions, 7 new teaching talents from universities in autonomous regions, and Wuhai city.
