Henan University of Science and Technology is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is a university jointly established by the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and the People's Government of Henan Province. Henan University of Science and Technology covers an area of more than 4,600 mu and has four campuses: Kaiyuan, Xiyuan, Jinghua and Zhoushan. There are 4 1000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and 24,000 part-time adult education students.
The school covers science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, literature, law, history, teaching, arts, etc. 1 1 disciplines, with 3 1 colleges and 97 undergraduate majors, 20 of which have been selected as "first-class undergraduate" majors at the national and local levels. There are 4 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 3 national defense specialty disciplines in the 13th Five-Year Plan and 28 first-class key disciplines in Henan Province. Henan University of Science and Technology was founded in Beijing 1952. In the mid-1950s, in order to meet the needs of the construction and layout of the national industrial base, it moved to Luoyang, later renamed Luoyang Institute of Technology, and was subordinate to the Ministry of Machinery Industry. 1998, transferred to Henan province for management.
In 2002, in order to optimize the structural layout of higher education in Henan Province, the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government reported to the Ministry of Education for approval, and Luoyang Institute of Technology, Luoyang Medical College and Luoyang Agricultural College merged to form Henan University of Science and Technology. Comrade People's Republic of China (PRC) Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China (then Governor of Henan Provincial People's Government) personally awarded the school card.
Henan University of Science and Technology should aim at creating a high-level university and become a comprehensive university with its own characteristics, advanced in China and at the forefront of universities in the province.
