Tongji refers to tongji hospital, which used to be the affiliated hospital of Tongji University. Later, it was transferred to Wuhan University, and then to Huazhong University of Science and Technology, which is now Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and became the affiliated hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Concord means union, which is mainly organized by foreign capital. Originally, there were four Xiehe, namely, Beijing Xiehe, Huaxi Xiehe, Wuhan Xiehe and Fujian Xiehe. Since West China Union Medical College joined Union Medical College and entered Sichuan University, there are only three other orthodox Union Medical College hospitals under the Union Medical College name. It is worth mentioning that tongji hospital Union Medical College Hospital in Wuhan has become an affiliated hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Union Medical College Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College, University of Science and Technology of China, also known as wuhan union hospital, was founded in 1866. It is the oldest large-scale comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research in Wuhan.
