Founded in 195 1, formerly known as Shaanxi Health Cadre College and Shaanxi Health School, 1994 was renamed Shaanxi Medical College with the approval of the State Education Commission. The school is located in the southern suburb of Xi, a famous historical and cultural city, with the famous Little Wild Goose Pagoda in the east and the world-famous Chang 'an City Wall in the Ming Dynasty in the north.
