Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry and Zhongyuan Institute of Technology have reached the conditions for renaming.

Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry, founded in 1977, belongs to the former Ministry of Light Industry, and is the only light industry undergraduate university in Central and South China.

1998 was transferred to the people's government of Henan province, and was approved as a master's degree awarding unit in the same year.
