In August 2003, with the reconstruction and expansion of Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University, Lantian Academy came into being. At this time, the school implements the policy of enrolling students by major. Lantian Academy is a regional concept. Since 2005, the school began to gradually try out and promote the large-scale enrollment and training policy, and then in July 2008, Lantian College of Qiushi College was formally established. At this time, Lantian College became a formal administrative unit. Under the leadership of the undergraduate college, it fully implements the educational concept of "people-oriented, innovation and change, integration and training, and pursuit of Excellence" and is responsible for one of the student education management units under the background of large-scale enrollment. Lantian Academy takes "learning is true, acting as righteousness, combining science and technology, having a distinctive style and applying what you have learned" as its motto.
