On the morning of July 10, 2022, the opening ceremony of Xiangjiang Laboratory was held in Beidou Industrial Park, Changsha High-tech Zone, Xiangjiang New District, Hunan Province. The first batch of 19 academician expert teams settled in the laboratory.
Research direction:
Focusing on the fields of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, relying on the advantages of Hunan talent chain, innovation chain and industrial chain, the laboratory will unite with universities such as National University of Defense Technology, Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Technology and Business University and Xiangtan University to gather domestic and foreign scientific and technological innovation resources.
Committed to becoming the national original theoretical research center of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, the innovative highland of key technologies of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, and the national empowerment base of advanced computing and artificial intelligence industry.
Efforts will be made to break through a number of strategic, forward-looking and fundamental major scientific issues and key core technologies, carry out application demonstrations, and promote the high-quality development of industrial clusters such as advanced computing, smart society, intelligent manufacturing, software and information technology services in Hunan.
