Sunway College's Canadian Preparatory Program provides students with the Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSD) after graduation to ensure high quality and high standard of study. Every year, the Ontario Ministry of Education comes to inspect the work. More than 80% of CIMP teachers are qualified teachers in Canada, who will help students solve problems in life and study.
Sunway University College offers four categories of Canadian preparatory courses: university-level courses, university and college-level courses, and college-level open training. These courses are divided into compulsory courses and elective courses.
The courses offered by CIMP of Sunway University College include: English, principles of financial accounting, international business foundation, business leadership: management foundation, computer science (communication technology), world problem analysis, environmental resources management, social challenges and changes, interdisciplinary learning, analysis of contemporary economic problems, mathematical data management, advanced mathematical functions, algebra and vectors, biology, chemistry and physics.
CIMP courses are also arranged by semester. 1 The school year is divided into two parts on average. The first part is from 1 to May, and the second part is from July to 1 1. Students should study three courses including English in the first semester and four courses in the second semester. Students may also enter the third semester.
It should be noted that all students participating in the CIMP project should submit EPT (English Academic Statement) and MPT (Mathematics Academic Statement) so that the school can better arrange students' future study. The school also offers a third admission time: in March, I will study English and math. These students will take the final exam in May.
The school management is strict, and students will be assessed before, during and after the semester, with the focus on the attendance rate of students. Students are required to complete 6 credits of homework (including English), pass the literacy test in Ontario middle schools, and have 10 hours of club activities in universities.
After joining the CIMP program, students can communicate freely in English, enhance their self-study ability, transfer to a third country for further study, and cultivate their leadership ability and enthusiasm for participating in community activities. Students should learn to study independently, observe classroom discipline, respect others and take good care of their own lives in order to improve their personal quality in an all-round way.
