Guizhou Medical University, located in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is a teaching and research university which focuses on medicine, with the coordinated development of science and social sciences (law and education) and the mutual support of literature, engineering and management. It is a national-level university that implements the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Colleges and Universities in the Midwest", a key university in Guizhou Province, the only medical doctor degree awarding unit in Guizhou Province, a pilot university of the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" and a national pilot university of China for studying abroad quality certification.
