Northwest University, located in Xi City, the capital of Shaanxi Province, is a comprehensive national key university jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Education and the people's government of Shaanxi Province, and ranks among the first batch of national "world-class discipline construction universities" and national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. It has been selected into the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, the discipline innovation and intelligence introduction plan of universities, the national public graduate program for building high-level universities, the national innovative talent training demonstration base, the China government scholarship receiving institution for overseas students studying in China, the first batch of demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in China, the founding member of the China-Japan Humanities Exchange University Alliance, the New Silk Road University Alliance and the Chang 'an Alliance, and the first batch of doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree awarding units in China. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in northwest China.
