Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University:
Suzhou Medical College (English name) is located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Suzhou University is a secondary college affiliated to Suzhou University, and it is the first batch of pilot universities in the project of "Excellent Doctoral Education and Training Plan" of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Health and Wellness Committee, Suzhou Municipal Government and Suzhou University.
Its predecessor was private Nantong Medical College, which was founded by Zhang Jian and Zhang Peng in March 19 12. It has been renamed as private Nantong Medical University 1927, private Nantong University Medical College 1928, private Nantong College Medical College 1930, national Jiangsu Medical College 1938 (merged with Jiangsu Medical and Political College) and private Nantong College Medical College;
1949- 1957 was renamed as Subei Medical College 1952 and Nantong Medical College 1956 after adjustment by the state departments. From 65438 to 0957, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health moved Nantong Medical College to Suzhou and renamed it Suzhou Medical College for the needs of medical college construction and development.
At the end of 1962, with the approval of the State Council, it was placed under the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry (later changed to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry and the National Nuclear Corporation). In April, 2000, Suzhou Medical College merged into Suzhou University and became the Medical College of Suzhou University.
There are 6 colleges, 4 clinical colleges and 12 research institutes. There are more than 5,200 full-time undergraduates, 6 100 full-time postgraduates, 3,700 full-time doctoral students and 400 foreign students.

There are 4 academicians of the "two academies", 1 academician of the European Academy of Sciences 1 person, 2 academicians of the International Academy of Astronautics, 27 winners of the national talent plan and 5 winners of the cross-century outstanding talent plan;
