Changzhou Campus of Hohai University is an important part of Hohai University with relatively complete school-running functions, and it is an important force for the school to build a high-level research-oriented university with characteristics.

The predecessor of Hohai University Changzhou Campus can be traced back to the Mechanical Workers College of Changzhou Electric Power Machinery Factory. Hohai University School of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1986. 1In May, 1996, the School of Mechanical Engineering of Hohai University was renamed as Changzhou Campus of Hohai University. In June 2000, the Changzhou Campus of Hohai University was renamed as the Changzhou Campus of Hohai University.
