Lu Yi was called Ming Road and Yuan Xian in ancient times. Lu Yi is my hometown. According to legend, Lao Tzu was born here in 57 BC1year. In the eighth year of Yan Xi in the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 165), there was a temple of Laozi and a monument to Laozi. Herry Liu, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty, sent ministers to pay homage twice. From Wei and Jin Dynasties to Song Dynasty, seven emperors came here to pay homage, and the Tang and Song Dynasties were also the most glorious period in Lu Yi's hometown of Laozi.
Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was a famous emperor who worshipped Taoism. He has carefully studied the Tao Te Ching. In the Taiqing Palace, there is an Annotation Monument to the Tao Te Ching of Tang Dynasty, which was erected in the first year of Tang Tianbao, and both sides are engraved with the interpretation of the Tao Te Ching by Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. This stone tablet is the earliest existing imperial tablet in Taiqing Palace Scenic Area. Although it has been eroded by wind and rain, the charm of the whole tablet has not diminished. Moreover, this monument was erected by the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and its cultural relics and artistic value are extremely high.
At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Taiqing Palace was destroyed by a military incident, and it was rebuilt in Song Zhenzong period to restore the scale of the Tang Dynasty. According to historical records, "the temple looks better than the Tang Dynasty". "Rebuilding the Taiqing Palace Monument in the Great Song Dynasty" recorded this historical fact, and the monument has been especially preserved to this day.
Here stands another work of Emperor Zhenzong, which is rare in the whole country-the monument to the Queen Mother Zan. This tablet was written by Dazhong Xiangfu himself when he visited Taiqing Palace in Song Zhenzong in the seventh year. He wrote a book with his own handwriting and inscribed the name of the monument, so it was called san huang Monument. The inscription eulogizes the achievements of Lao Zi's mother. Although it has gone through thousands of years, it only erodes numbers. In order to show respect for Laozi and attach importance to Taiqing Palace, Emperor Zhenzong issued a decree forbidding anyone to cut down trees within 5 miles around Taiqing Palace, and named Laozi as the "Tai Shang Lao Jun Hunyuan" emperor.
With the discovery of these historic sites, the mystery of "Gongdie Palace" in Taiqing Palace was unveiled. The top floor is Taiqing Palace, which was rebuilt in Song Zhenzong. Further down, it is the base address of the Tang Dynasty. At the bottom is the site of Laozi Temple in Han Dynasty.
During the period of 1997, archaeologists excavated a large-scale cultural relic group in Taiqing Palace, including Longshan cultural site, Western Zhou tombs, Eastern Zhou rammed earth foundation site, large Ma keng, Tang and Song architectural foundation sites, inscriptions and Ming and Qing buildings. This archaeology also went down in history and shocked the world.
Now Lu Yi is the hometown of Laozi culture in China and a national garden county. The "China Laozi Culture Research Center" and "Zhengzhou University Laozi College (Research Institute)" have been established to vigorously carry out Laozi culture research, communicate with domestic and foreign Laozi culture research groups, spread Laozi thoughts, provide soil for carrying forward Laozi culture, and let more people know Laozi's wisdom.
