Nursing is the first-class undergraduate specialty construction site in Henan Province, and seven specialties, including clinical medicine, nursing, optometry, rehabilitation, medical laboratory technology, biomedical engineering and medical imaging technology, are the brand specialty construction sites in private colleges and universities in Henan Province, while two specialties, such as nursing and biotechnology, are subject-funded projects in private colleges and universities in Henan Province. Four majors, including clinical medicine, nursing, rehabilitation and optometry, are the pilot majors of comprehensive professional reform in Henan Province, and seven majors, including biopharmaceuticals, prosthetic and orthopedic engineering, midwifery, health service and management, data science and big data technology, intelligent medical engineering and medical product management, are national characteristics. The subject of cell biology was approved as the key training subject in Henan Province, and four subject groups were established, including biology and medicine, health management, medical technology and medical service.

The educational model has distinct characteristics. The school implements the fundamental task of moral education, actively explores new ways of ideological and political education for college students, takes the lead in implementing the "double-college system" education model of "college+department" in the country, and successfully constructs a general education framework of "three systems, five goals, six abilities and seven modules". The Sixth Hospital has become a new carrier of personalized and integrated education. Student Hao won the title of "national diligent and good youth", Hao and Wang Jinqiang also won the "Henan Youth May Fourth Medal", and two of the 50 winners in the province were students from Sanquan College, which fully demonstrated the value of the innovative practice of school education model.
