What universities are there in Chiang Mai?
1, Chiang Mai University: Founded in 1964, it includes three campuses with a total area of about 14 square kilometers and more than 30,000 students. The main campus is located at the foot of Su Tieshan in the western suburb of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

2. The Royal University of Chiang Mai: It is a public university founded in 1924. The school consists of four campuses, the main campus covers an area of 129788 square meters, and it is an institution of higher learning with a long history in Thailand.

3. Royal Thai University of Technology: one of the national universities, originally initiated by the royal family of Thailand and affiliated to the Ministry of Education of Thailand, is a university focusing on science and technology education and research;

4. Northwest University of Thailand: a private university founded by the Thai Church. At first, there were only seminaries, medical schools and conservatories. In 2000, it was changed to Northwest University, mainly to recruit students from families with church background in Thailand;

5. Far East University of Thailand: It is a new comprehensive private university in Thailand, which is affiliated to the Office of Higher Education Committee (University Department). Founded in 1999, it offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral courses 17, and is committed to cultivating talents to meet the needs of internationalization. In 2000, Her Royal Highness Sister Gan Rajani Watana of Thailand personally inaugurated the Far East University and announced its formal establishment.
