I look forward to a harmonious society. People consciously abide by the rules and regulations, and there is no need for deliberate restraint. People's ideological quality has reached a certain height, and the so-called "no desire, no demand". Laozi's inaction is not inaction, just like Fudan University said, "a free and useless soul", in which uselessness is not uselessness.
Rousseau said: "People are born free, but they are everywhere in chains." Everyone is born free. Fudan University advocates that education should return to people themselves, have self and cultivate students' independent personality. The pursuit of freedom is not necessarily breaking the rules and chains. You should obey the rules and learn to find your own survival rules in the rules. Seemingly imprisoned, but actually free. The body can be bound, but the mind and soul can never be bound. "Useless" does not dispute, does not seek, educate students not to blindly pursue material things. This is also a judgment of self-worth. You are the subject of judgment, which is also a kind of self-judgment.
The simple understanding is that as long as you think you can get happiness from what you do, even if it is useless to others, then do it, regardless of the secular vision. After a lot of useless accumulation, it becomes useful, which is what the philosophy says: "quantitative change causes qualitative change." When the equivalent is accumulated to a certain time, seizing the opportunity will contribute to qualitative change. Everyone is pursuing freedom, and if the mind is bound, then no amount of efforts will be in vain.
