School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tianjin University (hereinafter referred to as "School of Pharmacy") was established in July 2000 and officially enrolled students in April 20001. The first dean was Chinese-American Professor Zhao Kang. The honorary chairman is Professor Shen Jiaxiang, an academician of China Academy of Engineering. 20 13 professor Jay Siegel served as the second dean of the school of pharmacy. At the beginning of 20 14, the College of Pharmacy was selected as the first batch of four pilot colleges in China jointly initiated by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the Ministry of Education. From 20 15, the international experimental class for pharmaceutical undergraduates began to enroll students. At present, the first "undergraduate-postgraduate-doctoral English talent training system" in China has been established and implemented. Pharmaceutical experimental teaching center was selected as "the construction unit of experimental teaching demonstration center in Tianjin universities".

At present, the School of Pharmacy of Tianjin University has two doctoral programs, namely, pharmacy undergraduate program, pharmacy master program (including medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, microbiology and biochemistry, pharmacy, pharmacology and pharmacognosy) and pharmacy management (relying on the School of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Management), which can recruit master, doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers to engage in research work. There are 60 teachers in the college, including 30 professors and 23 associate professors, including foreign academicians and Nobel Prize winners 1 person, "973" chief scientist 1 person, and 2 outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century. Foreign teachers account for 43.3%.

3. The College of Pharmacy has established a clear goal of international development and construction. It is planned that by 2020, the college will form an international management system with China characteristics, establish an internationally recognized training system for English undergraduate, master and doctoral students, have more than 80 international-level full-time teachers covering all major research fields of pharmacy, have infrastructure that meets international norms and standards, and build an internationally renowned core teaching and research center.
