The suspect still refuses to account for YINGYING ZHANG's whereabouts. Does his wife know anything?
On the morning of July 3rd, local time 10 (on the evening of July 3rd, Beijing time 1 1 0), the U.S. federal court held its first trial against Christensen, the defendant suspected of kidnapping YINGYING ZHANG, a visiting scholar in China. Before the trial, local police said that Christensen still refused to explain YINGYING ZHANG's whereabouts.

YINGYING ZHANG, a visiting scholar from China, disappeared in the United States on June 9th. At the end of last month, the FBI announced the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect who kidnapped YINGYING ZHANG, and expressed its belief that YINGYING ZHANG was dead.

In the court, the suspect Christensen refused to plead guilty, and the judge announced in court that the suspect Christensen would not be allowed to be released on bail pending trial and would continue to be detained, waiting for another trial at 3 pm Central Time on July 5. A large number of people gathered at the scene said that they were satisfied with the result and did not allow the suspect to be released on bail, which was a good result.

Where the hell is YINGYING ZHANG? Is still an unsolved mystery.

The suspect has been silent or knows the inside story to his wife.

At present, the FBI and local police in Illinois are stepping up their search for Christensen's residence suspected of kidnapping YINGYING ZHANG, so as to determine YINGYING ZHANG's whereabouts as soon as possible.

The suspect and his wife.

According to local police, the suspect remained silent when questioned, but denied the charge of kidnapping YINGYING ZHANG. When the police asked him several times where YINGYING ZHANG was hiding, the suspects all said that they needed a lawyer and kept silent. At present, the police are trying to collect evidence.

Liu Shiquan, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Evidence Science of China University of Political Science and Law, who is a visiting scholar at Northwestern University, said, "Now the US police need further legal scientific reports, such as blood and biological evidence, including trace evidence, to further identify how and where YINGYING ZHANG killed people."

Although the suspect Christensen left few traces on the Internet, the American media still found that Christensen and his wife Michelle Christensen appeared on the social media "Facebook" around June 12.

On 20 15, Michelle took photos of herself and the suspect graduation photo as her head portrait. On June 12, she changed her avatar, which was her own photo. Two of her friends left messages asking what was going on, and one of them expressed surprise. "Didn't you tell me you would never change your avatar?"

Michelle responded: "This is different." Among the 32 likes of this avatar, there is Christensen. Three days have passed since YINGYING ZHANG disappeared that day. It is still uncertain whether Michelle has anything to do with the case.

I look forward to the police investigation and give you a clear explanation.
