China Geo University is located in Beijing and Wuhan respectively. The campus post is called "China Geo University". Its predecessors were Beijing Geo University and Wuhan Geo University respectively. China Geo University is divided into Wuhan Campus and Beijing Campus. China Geo University runs independent schools in Beijing and Wuhan, which are called China Geo University (Wuhan) and China Geo University (Beijing) respectively.

China Geo University, referred to as "Dida" for short, is a comprehensive national key university with the coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, teaching, philosophy, agriculture and art directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and established by the Ministry of Land and Resources. It is the key construction institution of "2 1 1 Engineering" and "985 Engineering Superiority Discipline Innovation Platform", and has been selected into "1/Plan", "Excellence Plan" and the National Postgraduate Plan for Building High-level Universities.
